Cherokee Proverb of Two Wolves

After introducing Lone Wolf, it seems most practical to unpack the Cherokee Proverb of Two Wolves, as it is the foundation not only of this ideology, but of life:    Two Wolves: A Cherokee Proverb   An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life:    “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves. One is evil—he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good—he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you—and inside every other person, too.”   The grandson thought about it for a minute, and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”   The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”    An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life....

Welcome to Lone Wolf. This is my blog, and I appreciate you taking time to read. I have a YouTube channel with similar information, but find I express and articulate myself best through writing.  So, what am I doing here? On a platform like this, at a time when literally everyone and their dog is clamoring for their piece of internet real estate, some might call it silly, or odd, or even worthless. I have been called much worse. I am attempting to infuse something good, meaningful, raw, and wholesome into a medium super-saturated with heartlessness.  Lone Wolf is an endeavor I have been cultivating based on my personal experiences of life. I have found myself compelled to use this as an outlet for recent painful experiences, specifically in my work and career worlds. I've had many painful experiences in life, including: 1)chronic illness, including crippling anxiety and soul-crushing depression, 2) mistreatment by a society that sometimes seems determined to ridicule, torment...
